Minors and seniors can leave their homes for Step 2 of the national ID registration process which requires physical appearance, said the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19.

Those aged 15 to 17 years old and those above 65 can proceed to the next step for the Philippine Identification System, or PhilSys ID, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, who is also spokesman of the IATF

The PhilSys aims to provide Filipinos one super ID that contains vital information protected by security features. Step 1, which is inputting information and scheduling the in-person appointment, can be done online.

Step 2 involves the verification of documents and biometrics, both of which must be done at the nearest registration center.

Registrants done with Step 2 can wait for their IDs to be delivered to their homes.
