MRT Cleaners in Viral Video Face Disciplinary Action: DOTr

MRT-3 management is assuring everyone that, yes, the train line takes keeping people safe from COVID-19 very, very seriously.

Commuters were up in arms over the weekend after a video of MRT-3 cleaning staff "disinfecting" train cars in a not-so-thorough fashion surfaced online. Here it is below:

In response, management is reprimanding those involved in the viral cleanup video, and says there will not be a repeat of the incident. Look:

"We are assuring the riding public that matters have been taken to prevent a repeat of that unfortunate incident and that the personnel involved are now facing disciplinary action," the agency said over the DOTr MRT-3 official Facebook page.

"The MRT-3 management will not tolerate any breach of health protocols as we stem the spread of COVID-19 while serving the daily transportation needs of commuters.

According to MRT-3 management, the cleaning staff has been reminded to maintain focus and take care when disinfecting train cars. Earlier today, the DOTr MRT-3 Facebook page released a video showing how to process is really done. Watch:
