People who are not considered as authorized persons outside residence (APOR) are allowed to drive for essential workers who need transportation during the 15-day lockdown in Metro Manila, PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said Wednesday.
It was a reversal from the PNP Chief's earlier pronouncement that non-APORs couldn't drive for essential workers.
Non-APORs who will fetch or bring essential workers to their workplace will have to present the following at checkpoints:
- Certificate of employment (COE) of worker-APOR with these details: name of non-APOR driver, make and plate number of the vehicle to be used, and contact number of employer
- Copy of business permit of the employer
Under ECQ from Aug. 6-20, only APORs can go outside their homes. Several cities in Metro Manila will also require quarantine passes for those who need to step out for essentials but not considered APOR.
