The Philippines on Saturday confirmed 12,674 new COVID-19 cases ahead of a decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Pandemic on whether the lockdown of 24 million people will be extended.
There were 225 deaths, from the previous day's record of 401. There are now 190,245 active cases. The country has a cumulative total of 853,209 cases since the start of the pandemic.
