Here's the 24-hour weather outlook for today, Aug. 4, from PAGASA:

Metro Manila

Expect cloudy skies by noon with isolated rains in Metro Manila. Rains are highly likely from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Luzon

A low pressure area monitored 180 kilometer east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar at 3 a.m. Thursday will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the entire Bicol Region, while it will bring rains in MIMAROPA, including parts of Palawan, Calabarzon particularly Quezon Province, Aurora, Isabela and Cagayan.

The rest of Central Luzon and northern Luzon will have cloudy skies with isolated rains in the morning, with localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

Visayas

There will be mostly cloudy skies with possible rains as early as this morning in the Visayas region due to the LPA.

Mindanao

Rains will prevail throughout the day in Zamboanga due to the LPA. Scattered rains and thunderstorms are also expected in Misamis Oriental, Camiguin. Misamis Occidental, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands.

The rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
