Here's the 24-hour weather outlook for today, Aug. 9, from PAGASA:

Luzon

Cloudy skies with scattered rains are expected in Ilocos Region, Bataan, Zambales, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Benguet and Abra due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.

The rest of Luzon will have generally fair wrather with partly cloudy skies. Thunderstorms may also bring rains, PAGASA said.

Visayas and Mindanao

A low pressure area located 280 kilometers east of Davao will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Caraga and Davao region. It has low likelihood of intensifying into a storm.

The rest of Mindanao and Visayas will have generally fair weather with cloudy skies. Thunderstorms may also bring isolated rainshowers.
