Intramuros' San Agustin Church on Lockdown, Parish Priest Dies of COVID

The San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila was placed on lockdown starting Sunday, March 21, after its parish priest died of COVID-19.

Augustinian Fr. Arnold Sta. Maria succumbed to COVID-19, his religious order announced Sunday. He was 45.

"Access to the church and convent will be restricted, and operations at the Parish Office will also be suspended until further notice," the church said in an announcement on its Facebook page.

It has yet to say until when the lockdown is effective.
