The City of San Juan has vaccinated 75% of its target population as of June 25, Mayor Francis Zamora said as it moved to vaccinate 100% of its target population with at least one dose by middle of July.
The city has given an anti-COVID jab to 63,950 out of 85,400 target population with at least one dose, Zamora said. It also aims to immunize against COVID-19 100% of its target population with two doses by end of August.
Zamora said the city would open a third vaccination site at the V-Mall, Greenhills Shopping Center to increase its daily vaccination capacity to around 4,000 to 5,000 daily.
He asked his constituents who have yet to be vaccinated to register for inoculation.
San Juan said it was eyeing herd immunity, or 70% of the population immunized against COVID-19, by end of August 2021 as it expanded its vaccination rollout to indigent residents.
