Typhoon Forecast to Enter Philippines on Tuesday, PAGASA Says

To dampen parts of Luzon and Visayas.

Powerful Typhoon Mindulle is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday and is expected to bring rains to the eastern sections of Luzon and he Visayas, PAGASA said.

The 12th storm of 2021 will get the local name Lannie. At 3 a.m. Monday, it was spotted 1,600 east of extreme northern Luzon packing winds of up to 185 km per hour and 230 kph gusts.

"Posible ang pagsilip nitong bagyo sa ating Philippine area of responsibility by tomorrow morning, Martes po 'yan at posibleng makalabas lang din by Wednesday morning," PAGASA forecaster Ariel Rojas said.

The trough or extension of Mindulle could reach parts of Bicol Region and Western Visayas. It is  moving towards the direction of northeast Luzon, though landfall is unlikely as of the Monday morning forecast.
