A man caught in a viral video while cursing at police officers who accosted him for illegal parking in Muntinlupa faces a raft of charges, the head of the Philippine National Police said Friday.
The suspect, Franz Orbos, told policemen in the video as he tried to break free from their grasp: ""Hindi niyo ba ako kilala? Alam niyo ba sino tatay ko?"
Orbos will be charged with alarm and scandal, resistance and disobedience to a person in authority or agents, and direct assault, said Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, the PNP chief.
Eleazar said he saw the video and praised the policemen for showing maximum tolerance towards Orbos.
“Parang telenobela lang pero ganitong klaseng sitwasyon ang laging hinaharap ng inyong kapulisan sa mga lansangan, mga taong hindi marunong rumespeto sa batas dahil pakiramdam nila ay hindi sila sakop ng batas."
“Kapag binastos mo ang batas at ang mga nagpapatupad nito, sisiguraduhin namin na mananagot ka kahit sino ka man o sino pa ang tatay mo. Dahil naniniwala ako na walang matinong magulang ang magkukunsinti sa ganitong klaseng asal ng mga anak,” Eleazar said.
