Two low pressure areas which could intensify into tropical cyclones are expected to bring rains over parts of Luzon on Sunday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

One low pressure area was spotted 815 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar and another was seen 120 kilometers east of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

"Base sa ating mga nakalap na mga data, itong dalawang LPA ay maaaring maging bagyo. Ang susunod na pangalan ng bagyo ay Emong at Fabian," said PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio.

Due to the two weather systems, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms could be experienced in Metro Manila, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Bicol Region, PAGASA said.

The rest of Northern Luzon will have slightly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered rains due to thunderstorms, it added.
