Dante Threatens Caraga, Davao Regions with Rains

Tropical Depression Dante entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility early Sunday, threatening to bring light and moderate with at times heavy rains over Caraga and Davao Region, PAGASA said.

The fourth storm of 2021 entered PAR at 1 a.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 55 kilometers per hour. It is likely to reach tropical storm category area by Monday afternoon, PAGASA said.

It is forecast to continue moving west northwestward until Monday morning before gradually accelerating northwestward for the rest of the day and into Tuesday.
