Island Mom Andi Eigenmann Says 'Me Time' Makes Her an 'A+ Parent'

In between looking after her three children, island mom Andi Eigenmann makes time for herself, rejecting the notion that self-care is selfish for parents who have little human beings to raise.

In a Smart Parenting exclusive, TV's former drama princess turned Instagram ideal mom said for her and partner, champion surfer Philmar Alipayo, having time for each their own "personal pleasures" allows them to be better parents.

Actually, may mga nagtatanong when Philmar does motocross or trail-riding with his friends. Bakit mo iniiwan sila Andi? Kawawa naman si Andi," the 30-year old said.

"What they don’t understand is that’s why our relationship works. If he wants to have Sundays with his friends, I’d let him enjoy those things. Otherwise, he might just do it behind my back, or we’ll fight," she said.

"If anything, ’di naman niya kami gustong iwan. ’Pag balik niya, miss na miss na niya kami," she added.

When it's her turn to take her own "me" timewhether its working out, or hitting the bed for an afternoon siesta—their roles would reverse, leaving Philmar to take care of their three-month old Koa, one-year-old Lilo, and ten-year old Ellie (when she's not with her father, Jake Ejercito).
