The Supreme Court on Tuesday announced that 8,241 examinees passed the 2020-2021 Bar Exams--the first to be conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some 72.28% of the 11,402 examinees passed the Bar Exams that were postponed since 2020 due to COVID-19.
"Bar Examinations only facilitate your entry into the legal profession. Do not be blinded by today's success," 2020/2021 Bar exams Chair Justice Marvic Leonen told passers.
The 2020/21 Bar Exams are unlike previous exams since it was administered with a digitalized format and shortened to two days with reduced coverage considering the COVID-19 surge at that time.

There is also no announcement of a top 10 for the 2020/21 Bar Exams with the Supreme Court recognizing examinees with an "exemplary" performance instead.

The Supreme Court earlier set the oath-taking of new lawyers on May 2. Details of the venue and time will be announced at a later date.
