These Airlines Offer Direct Flights from the Philippines to Busan

Seoul is the go-to destination in South Korea, but those looking for a change of pace in the peninsula or a free K-pop concert may seek tickets for Busan instead.

Busan, the second most populous city in South Korea, is a candidate to host the World Expo in 2030. Italy, Ukraine, and Saudi Arabia also submitted bids to host the 2030 event.

South Korean boy group BTS serves as Busan's official ambassadors for the bid, and is set to perform a concert for free on Oct. 15, at Busan Ilgwang special stage.

Tickets for the in-person concert will be distributed in a lottery via Interpark, according to Hybe Co., Ltd., BTS's management. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend.

The concert will also be streamed via Hybe's fan content platform Weverse, online universe Zepeto, and Naver NOW.

Most commercial airlines offer trips to Busan from the Philippines through connecting flight—usually a stopover at Gimpo or Incheon International Airport followed by a domestic flight to Gimhae International Airport.

  • Jin Air (twice a week, ends in October)

Manila to Busan

  • Philippine Airlines (twice a week)

Cebu to Busan
