Filipinos paid their last respects to the late President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III at a one day only public viewing on Friday, a day before he is laid to rest.
The urn bearing Aquino's ashes was brought to the Church of the Gesu at the Ateneo de Manila, his alma mater. The viewing will run from 10 a.m to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, he will be laid to rest at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque, joining parents Ninoy and Cory, the Philippines' democracy icons.
At around 8:30 a.m., supporters of the Aquino family were outside campus, most of them clad in trademark yellow clothing, and wrists wrapped in yellow ribbons.
Arrival of Aquino's Ashes
By 9:30, the urn filled with Aquino's ashes arrived, carried by honor guards into the chapel. Friends and family of the late president trailed behind, led by his youngest sister Kris Aquino who was with her two sons Bimby and Josh.
