Actor Jake Cuenca was arrested on Saturday night after his SUV hit a police vehicle in Mandaluyong City.

Cuenca didn't stop his vehicle after hitting the police car at around 9 ap.m., resulting in a chase that ended along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City, Brig. Gen. Matthew Bacay told dzBB

Police had to disable Cuenca's car during the chase, hitting a Grab driver in the crossfire, Bacay said.

The Grab driver was brought to a hospital in Mandaluyong where he is in stable condition.

"This is a very unfortunate incident, walang may gusto nito. But nonetheless I've instructed yung chief of police ng Mandaluyong to take care of all the needs of the victim," Bacay said.

Cuenca will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property, according to Bacay.

Bacay has yet to conclude whether Cuenca was under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened pending the release of a medical report. No illegal substance was found in his car during an initial police inspection.
