Actress Sharon Cuneta on Tuesday campaigned for the ticket of her husband, vice presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan and running mate Leni Robredo, vouching for the pair's untainted public service record.
The "Megastar" of Philippine movies who is now starring in ABS-CBN's long-running "Ang Probinsyano" accompanied her husband on a motorcade in Tarlac province. Both were wearing pink, Robredo's campaign color.
“Leni-Kiko po tayong lahat. Napakalinaw na po ng plano para po maibsan at masosolusyonan ang problema ng gutom sa bansa. At si Ma’am Leni at Kiko, wala pong bahid ng kahit anong pangit na isyu sa gobyerno. Simula 2001 pa po siya senador,” she told a crowd at the Gerona town Public Market.
She said Pangilinan, her husband of 25 years, is a good father and partner.
Pangilinan is running against Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Cuneta's uncle-in-law.
