How to Apply, Renew Your Passport in Makati City

No need to leave Makati.

Makati on Wednesday said residents can have their passport applications processed in the city via the Department of Foreign Affairs' Passport on Wheels program.

Appointments will be from Aug. 27 to Sept. 17 and will require physical appearance at the Makati City Hall and Barangay Poblacion Covered Court for data-capturing.

Application and renewal has two parts: One appointment for encoding and another for data-capturing.

Here's how to apply for passport renewal or application in Makati City:

  1. Register online.
  2. Wait for a text from Makati's International Relations Department (IRD) containing the date of your confirmed appointment.
  3. While waiting for your appointment, complete your requirements.
  4. On the day of your first appointment, bring your requirements and go to the IRD Desk at Makati City Hall Building 2 lobby for screening and encoding
  5. Wait for an e-mail from the DFA containing your payment reference number
  6. Pay the passport application fee of P1,250 at the nearest DFA-accredited payment center

    • Bayad Center
    • Villarica Pawnshop
    • ECPay

  7. The DFA will e-mail you your actual passport appointment schedule and passport packet. Print the contents.
  8. Go to the Barangay Poblacion Covered Court on the date and time of your appointment for data capturing. Bring the following:
    • Application form at requirements (original and photocopy of each document)
    • Passport packet
    • Printed copy of receipt
    • P150  for passport delivery fee
    • Black ballpen
  9. Wait for your passport to arrive at your address in 15 days.

Applicants are required to wear face masks and shields at all times to curb the spread of the virus. Physical distancing is also mandatory.

Avoid heavy make-up, earrings, shorts, sleeveless shirts, and slippers, the adivsory said. Contact lenses are also discouraged.
