Meta Clarifies: Facebook Live Selling Still Available

Meta says it was referring to a different "Live Shopping" feature.

Contrary to previous reports, the "mine" culture of Facebook live selling lives on as Meta clarified that it can still be done on the platform.

Meta said its earlier announcement on the discontinuation of its "Live Shopping" feature by Oct. 1 excludes the Philippines, noting that the particular tool is a different one and is not available in the country, to begin with.

In countries where it was made available, the feature has enabled users to create product playlists and tag products during live streams, making it easier for consumers to buy from businesses.
