Over 9,000 New COVID Recoveries Nearly Equal Fresh Cases

The Philippines on Monday reported over 9,000 new COVID-19 cases and recoveries as hospitals continue to grapple with a surge in infections.

There were 9, 628 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total active infections to 141,375, the Department of Health said.

New recoveries nearly tied the fresh cases at 9,266, bringing the total to 788,322. There were 88 new deaths to bring the total to 16,048.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Philippines has recorded a total of 945, 745 COVID-19 cases.
