Here's the 24-hour weather outlook for today, Aug. 8, from PAGASA:

Metro Manila

The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorm in Metro Manila.

Luzon

Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa will have cloudy skies due to the habagat, with possible scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Those living in Bataan, Zambales, Occidental Mindoro, Northern Palawan, Kalayaan Island are told to be on alert as heavy rains could trigger landslides in these areas.

Cloudy skies with possible thunderstorms are expected in the rest of Luzon.

Visayas and Mindanao

Generally fair weather will prevail in Visayas and Mindanao with possible sudden heavy downpour due to thunderstorms.
