A portion of Marcos Highway will be closed on Thursday for the inauguration of the LRT-2 East Extension's Antipolo Station, city officials said.

The stretch from Masinag until the intersection of Sta. Lucia Mall / Gil Fernando Avenue will be closed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m, said Jun-Andeng Ynares, Executive Assistant to the Mayor. "Hinihikayat po ang mga motorista na humanap ng alternatibong daan para makaiwas sa masikip na traffic," she added.

The LRT-2's Marikina and Antipolo stations were initially set to open on April but was postponed to June 22 due to quarantine restrictions. It was further delayed to July 6 to ensure the safety of passengers and staff once it formally opens.
