Malls in Quezon City will require customers to present their vaccination cards prior to entry, Mayor Joy Belmonte said Sunday as quarantine in Metro Manila eased to Alert Level 3.
Individuals without vaccination cards will still be allowed for essentials like groceries, medical services, and government services.
"As we want to vaccinate more people, we also directed mall managements to gather and list down the name, contact number, and barangay of unvaccinated patrons and submit it to the city government so they can immediately be scheduled for vaccination," Belmonte said.
Commercial establishments in the city are also required to undergo inspection and comply with Safety Seal standards set by the national government to ensure the safety of staff and customers as businesses operate with higher capacities.

Indoor venue capacity will be at 30% for fully vaccinated persons, and at 50% capacity for outdoor venues regardless of vaccination status, subject to compliance to age restrictions. "An additional 10% will be allowed if these venues have been issued Safety Seals," she added.
To ensure compliance "We’ll do spot inspections through our Department of Building Official and Business Permits and Licensing Department," Belmonte said.
