Taguig on Wednesday suspended online scheduling for the first dose of COVID vaccines for the next two weeks due to delays in vaccine shipments, a city advisory said.
As directed by the National COVID-19 Vaccine Operations Center, Taguig City will be prioritizing the administration of the second dose for those who already got their first jab.
The city is set to fully vaccinate 50,000 residents, or 8% of its total population this week. Residents were assured that first-dose scheduling will resume once more vaccines arrive.
Makati, Manila, Valenzuela, and Quezon City have likewise suspended first-dose vaccinations pending the arrival of more jabs. Muntinlupa City has barred walk-ins also due to low supply.
