The truck ban in major roads in Metro Manila will remain suspended until further notice, the MMDA said Friday, citing the need to support the further reopening of the economy.
The suspension of the truck ban will prevent delays in deliveries of essential goods according to the MMDA. Also suspended is the uniform light truck ban in EDSA from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and in Shaw Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the MMDA said.
"Pinapaalalahanan naman ng ahensya ang mga truck drivers na sumunod sa mga regulasyon at manatili lamang sila sa itinalagang lane upang hindi maging magulo ang daloy ng trapiko sa Kamaynilaan," the MMDA said on Facebook.

Earlier, the agency said number coding in Metro Manila, except Makati City, will stay suspended under Alert Level 3due to limited public transportation.
More industries in the capital region will be allowed to reopen starting Saturday, Oct. 16, following the lowering of the COVID-19 alert level to Alert Level 3.
Among additional businesses allowed to operate again are cinemas and hotels for staycations.
