Here Are the Updated Travel Guidelines for Aurora Province

The province of Aurora, home to Baler surf town, last week released new travel guidelines as it shifted to Alert Level 2, allowing for more visitors.

According to the Executive Order signed by Aurora Gov. Gerardo A. Noveras, only vaccination certificates from the Department of Health will be honored alongside other requirements, depending on the type and length of travel.

Those without vaccination certificates are required to present a negative rapid antigen test result valid within 72 hours from date of issuance.

Tourists on leisure travel are still prohibited from visiting the province. Only authorized persons outside of residence or APORs will be allowed to visit.

The EO covers all travelers passing through the Provincial Control Points in Sitio Canili, San Juan and Barangay Villa, both in Maria Aurora; Barangay Calaocan in Dipaculao; and Barangay Tanauan in Dingalan.

Here are the travel guidelines for the province of Aurora starting Nov. 15:

For APORs

For government APORs:

  • Valid ID
  • Travel order and itinerary of travel

For non-government APORs:

  • Valid ID
  • Travel order
  • Vaccination Certificate or updated Antigen negative test result

For resident APORs working outside the province staying less than 72 hours:

  • Valid ID as proof of residency
  • Certificate of employment

For resident APORs working outside the province staying for more than 72 hours:

  • Valid ID as proof of residency
  • Certificate of employment
  • Vaccination Certificate or updated Rapid Antigen negative test result

For returning residents

Residents with no valid ID as proof of residency in the Province of Aurora staying for 24 hours or less:

  • Any government issued ID/company ID/School ID
  • Letter/certificate of acceptance from the LGU/barangay of destination indicating the purpose of travel

Residents with no valid ID as proof of residency in the Province of Aurora staying for more than 24 hours:

  • Any government issued ID/company ID/ school ID
  • Letter/certificate of acceptance from the LGU/barangay of destination
  • Vaccination Certificate or updated Rapid Antigen negative test result

Children below 12 years old must be accompanied by parents and shall be required to present updated medical certificates issued by a competent medical doctor (government or private) in lieu of vaccination certificate.

Residents who traveled outside Aurora and stayed in their destination for a period of five (5) days or less for medical reasons, job-seeking and other humanitarian reasons:

  • Valid ID
  • Copy of the travel pass slip issued by the PCP

Residents may be subjected to undergo Rapid Antigen test or appropriate quarantine procedure at the discretion of the local government unit, and will be strictly monitored in case

For returning residents who traveled outside the Province and stayed for more than five (5) days for purposes of medical reasons, job seeking and other humanitarian reasons:

  • Valid ID
  • Copy of the travel pass slip issued by the PCP
  • Vaccination Certificate

Residents may be subjected to undergo Rapid Antigen test or appropriate quarantine procedure at the discretion of the local government unit.

For returning locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who are legitimate residents:

  • Valid ID as proof of residency
  • Vaccination Certificate

LSIs with no vaccination certificate or negative test result may be subjected to undergo Rapid Antigen test or appropriate quarantine procedure, and will be strictly monitored in case placed under quarantine.

For returning overseas residents and OFWs:

  • Valid ID as proof of residency
  • Updated Quarantine Certificate issued by the Bureau of Quarantine
