The University of Santo Tomas' varsity sports team on Tuesday encouraged supporters to wear pink for Vice President Leni Robredo for the entire second round of the UAAP men's basketball tournament, joining rivals that earlier issued the same call.
Like the Ateneo Blue Eagles and the De La Salle Green Archers, the UST Growling Tigers referenced the "Mean Girls" movie in their message that said as a community, they were standing "in solidarity with the rest of the UAAP universities fighting for good governance".
"In solidarity with the rest of the UAAP universities fighting for good governance, we highly encourage the Thomasian community to wear pink in the 2nd round as a symbol of our quest for an honest government that will uplift the lives of the Filipino," the post read.
