Several stores and business establishments are offering promos and discounts on Monday, Aug. 29 in celebration of the National Heroes Day.
From free tours at Intramuros to discounted items in select malls, the promos are meant to recognize the hard work and sacrifices that modern-day Filipino heroes make, especially those at the frontlines.

Free guided tour at Fort Santiago
Intramuros' Accredited Tour Guides Services Cooperative is offering a free guided tour of Fort Santiago on Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fort Santiago is known as the detention site of Jose Rizal, the country's national hero, where he was imprisoned before his execution on Dec. 30, 1896.
Those who want to avail of the free guided tour may inquire at Intramuros Visitors Center inside Fort Santiago or email [email protected] No reservations needed.
Entrance fee at Fort Santiago is at P75 for regular visitors and P50 for children, senior citizens, students, persons with disabilities, and government employees.
Free milk tea, discounted movies at Ayala Malls
"Modern-day heroes" can watch movies at a discounted rate and even get a free milk tea when they visit Ayala Malls branches on Monday.
Teachers, medical practitioners and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines can enjoy a movie at 25% off and get a P350 load for only P250 in the Timezone Power Card. The first 150 of them who can present a valid ID at the concierge will also get a free milk tea.
10% off at Decathlon Pasig Branch
Decathlon, a leading sportswear store, is also offering a 10% discount on all its items and services, except bikes, to modern-day heroes at its Pasig branch from Aug. 27 to 29.
To avail of the discount, eligible customers only need to present their valid PRC ID or any identification card proving they are modern-day heroes.
Eligible customers include health professionals; uniformed personnel; employees of government agencies; teachers, delivery and logistics providers, grocery store, water refilling station and gas station personnel; electricity, water and internet service providers; mortuary service providers; and members of the media.
