The Itchyworms have written a bunch of extremely catchy tunes throughout their career. See: “Beer,” “Akin Ka Na Lang,” “Gusto Ko Lamang Sa Buhay,” “Ayokong Tumanda,” and more.

But perhaps none is as recognizable and can inspire instant happy sing-along sessions as much as “Penge Naman Ako Nyan.”

The first single off of the band’s third studio album Self-Titled has LSS (last song syndrome) written all over it, but how exactly did they come up with it? What did their previous song “Beer” have to do with it?

And what’s the story behind the Quark Henares-directed music video for the song that’s become something of a modern classic? The boys spill all in this snippet from the OG video 25 Years of The Itchyworms.
