Enforcement of the truck ban in Metro Manila will be suspended for the duration of the enhanced community quarantine or ECQ, the MMDA said Monday.
From Aug. 6 to 20, trucks will be allowed to pass freely to ensure the unhampered movement of essential goods, the MMDA said.
Number coding is also suspended for the month of August until further notice, it added.
Metro Manila is currently under general community quarantine or GCQ with heightened additional restrictions until Aug. 5. The stricter 2-week quarantine will be implemented in a bid to control the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant of coronavirus.
