Bayanihan E-Konsulta: How to Avail of Angat Buhay Telehealth

Former Vice President Leni Robredo's Angat Buhay NGO revived its free telehealth service Bayanihan E-Konsulta on Monday to provide assistance for COVID-19 patients as infections rise.

The volunteer-driven initiative, first launched by the Office of the Vice President in 2021, got 1,000 signups in under an hour when the revival was announced last week.

Here's what you need to know about Angat Buhay's Bayanihan E-Konsulta:

When can it start receiving requests?

Volunteer doctors will receive calls starting Monday, July 25.

Bayanihan E-Konsulta operates from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until it reaches its maximum daily capacity of 150 patients.

Its chatbot can also accommodate the public from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

What are the services offered?

It offers COVID-19 consultation and general check-up.

Visit the Bayanihan E-Konsulta Facebook page and click the "Get Started" button for your requests.

Does it still offer COVID-19 care kits?

Patients who are symptomatic and the following people can receive a care kit:

  • Senior citizens aged 60 and above
  • Those with comorbidities or immunocompromised
  • Symptomatic for three days or less
  • On day 3 or less of isolation

Can I get a medical certificate from Bayanihan E-Konsulta?

No medical certificates, it said.

Can I get financial medical assistance from Bayanihan E-Konsulta?

No, it said.

It's an emergency. Should I seek help here?

Emergency cases must proceed to the nearest hospital or clinic, it said.
